McCall & Almy Named #1 Best Places to Work in the Extra Small Category
McCall & Almy today announced that it has been named the number one Best Places to Work in the Extra Small category by Boston Business Journal. The BBJ’s Best Places to Work program recognizes companies that go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for its employees. Winners are selected based on scores received from employee satisfaction survey results. This is McCall & Almy’s sixth year in a row being named to the list.
“We are pleased to be named to the BBJ’s Best Places to Work list. Our philosophy is to try to get people enthusiastic about their work,” says Bill McCall, president of McCall & Almy. “We say, ‘You take your business seriously, but not yourself seriously.’ We really work as a team. The team effect breeds much more togetherness. We’re proud of our employee retention and have very little turnover.”
McCall & Almy was among more than 75 Massachusetts companies recognized for creating and maintaining outstanding work environments for their employees at the 2019 Best Places to Work Awards event attended by a celebratory crowd of more than 1,000 at Boston’s Head of Concourse at the World Trade Center on June 19.
The winners and their final rankings were determined by Quantum Workplace which conducted an online survey of the employees for each company asking them to rate their work environment, work-life balance, job satisfaction, advancement opportunities, management, compensation and benefits.
